It is offered in two configurations – a low profile unit for installation on any flat surface and a vertically configured unit for attachment to a bulkhead. It meets the stringent EMC requirements of Automotive Conformance Specification 5 issued by the Police Information Technology Organization in the UK . Other demanding applications include installation in railroad locomotives and in commercial jet aircraft.
The Printrex 422 is an upgrade to the earlier Model 420. It operates directly from 12 or 24 volts DC without modification. In addition to use in vehicle applications it is widely used in industrial and laboratory instruments. This application is a computerized metering system for fuel delivery vehicles.
