About Printrex
- Printrex has been producing high performance thermal printers/plotters for Original Equipment Manufacturers since 1987. These OEMs integrate the printers into a wide range of industrial, scientific, medical, vehicle based and kiosk systems.

Printrex serves markets where operation in adverse environments is common and high reliability is the norm.
- Printrex has become the world wide leader in printers/plotters for downhole logging in the oil & gas industry since first supplying plotters to that application in 1993. Printrex has a proud history serving other applications that demand rugged reliability like railroad locomotives (since 1994), fire engines (since 1996), and commercial jet aircraft (since 1991). In the medical field Printrex supplies products for demanding applications in ophthalmology (since 1990), EKGs and EEGs.
In 2006, Printrex acquired the former Atlantek printer family from Zebra Technologies. These included the well known ST261 and ST262 Welloggers and the Models 1200, 2400 and 3600 wide format plotters. Also included is the family of Thermal Response Test Systems (thermal paper testers) – the Models 200, 300 and 400 – used by paper mills and converters for developing thermal coatings and for production quality control.
Printrex provides printing solutions. We make many hardware and software variations on standard products to adapt to the unique requirements of specific applications and often design new products when existing products do not meet the needs of the application.
